Editorial Policy
Our Commitment to Accuracy
The American Emigration Revue is committed to publishing research based on verifiable, primary-source government data. We do not estimate, model, or project. We report only what official government statistics document.
Every figure in our publications is traced to a government source: census data, immigration statistics, birth registrations, passport records, or official residence permit counts.
Sourcing & Transparency
We maintain a global sources registry documenting the government agencies, reports, and datasets behind every published figure. Readers can verify our sources and understand:
- Which country's government published the data
- The year and reporting period the data covers
- The methodology or counting rules the government used
- Any caveats, limitations, or uncertainties in the original source
Corrections & Feedback
We welcome corrections. If you identify a source we missed, a figure we misread, or a reporting quirk we got wrong, please contact us with your finding and source citation. We review every submission and correct the record publicly.
Content Standards
All content published by the American Emigration Revue must:
- Be based on verifiable government sources or official data
- Clearly distinguish between reported data and analysis
- Include source attribution and methodology notes
- Avoid speculation, estimates, or projections without explicit disclosure
- Maintain editorial independence from political or commercial interests
